Hazelnut biscuits are simple and quick to prepare: perfect for breakfast or a delicious snack. Don't let them escape!
Craving for dessert? Today we are preparing hazelnut biscuits. The ingredients are quite classic : flour, eggs, sugar, butter and – obviously – the Tonda Gentile delle Langhe , the hazelnut par excellence. Few, but good and genuine, these ingredients, combined to perfection, give life to a crunchy and fragrant baked dough.
The final decoration with hazelnut , in its simplicity, gives a further crunchy note and prepares us for the intense flavor of this delicacy. With a premise like this, what are you waiting for to put on your aprons? Let's see how to prepare them now!

Preparation
How to prepare the hazelnut biscuits recipe
Start by working the cold butter together with the sugar to obtain a crumbled dough.
Then add the egg and the flour sifted with the baking powder .
Coarsely chop the hazelnuts : you can do it by hand, with a cutting board and a mezzaluna or blend them for a couple of seconds. Add them to the mixture last, mixing well.
At this point, take the dough, form balls about the size of a walnut (the ideal weight for cooking is 15 g ) and crush them lightly with your hands. Transfer the biscuits onto a baking tray lined with baking paper. Decorate with a hazelnut and cook at 180°C for 12 minutes.
Remove the biscuits from the oven and transfer them to a wire rack to cool . They are excellent for breakfast or a snack, but also to be served together with coffee or bitters at the end of the meal.
These biscuits are delicious and we also leave you a short video where you can see all the steps to make them. As you can see we used hazelnuts with skin: we like the play of color created with the lighter base of the biscuit!
For an even sweeter variant, add 50 g of chocolate chips to the mixture. Alternatively, we recommend trying the hazelnut flour biscuits: they are irresistible!
Conservation
Hazelnut biscuits will keep in a tin box for up to a week .
