Here are all the characteristics of dry shampoo and the tips to apply it correctly to keep hair clean.

What is dry shampoo and when is it good to use it?

The dry shampoo is composed of a base of starch and alcohol: this mix is perfect for absorbing hair fat and is often presented as a mostly natural compound, therefore not harmful to the scalp.
Dry shampoo exists in various types, from spray to liquid form, although the most popular, due to its practicality in use, is shampoo in the form of a hair spray.

Dry shampoo can be used on various occasions and circumstances:

  • when you are in situations that are not favorable to the usual washing and proper hair care, such as during a trip;
  • on the occasion of unexpected events or when there is not much time available for washing the hair;
  • if, due to cervical contractures or other, it is impossible to move the head freely;
  • if the hair is very thin and fine, dry shampoo not only cleans it but can also add more volume;
  • to refresh the hair when it needs new vitality and vigor;
  • when you want to eliminate bad smells of smoke or cooking from your hair.

How is dry shampoo applied?

The dry shampoo is applied to the hair keeping a distance of about 20 centimeters. It can be sprayed along the entire length of the hair, right from the roots, or even only on the innermost part, according to the application recommendations of the various products and the type of hair.

Usually to apply it it is necessary to divide the hair into several strands, in order to reach the skin more easily. Another way is to get upside down and spray the hair spray several times, to be able to even out the product all over the hair. Be that as it may, or in one way or another, the result is assured.

If you use dry powder shampoo, the ideal is to spread the product with your hands or with the help of a comb to avoid leaving unwanted white residues on the hair.

Dry shampoo is, therefore, an ally for daily beauty: in addition to being a nourishing product and as natural as possible, it is easy to use and leaves an excellent scent in the hair. The ideal would be not to use it every day, but always in moderation and inquiring about which hair colors you can apply it.
