How to make a rich and tasty rice timbale?
Here is the recipe for baked rice timbale, a wonderful dish that can be prepared with many delicious ingredients.
Today we're talking about rice timbale, a dish that makes everyone's mouth water just at the idea of tasting it. It is a real triumph in the form of a dish, a beautiful convivial recipe to propose for a dinner with many guests.
Of course, however, talking about timbale is reductive, because in this case the main ingredient is rice, but what about the rest? Well, here we really range from one variant to another: you can use meat, vegetables, simple or enriched tomato sauce… In short, there really is a lot of choice !
Also regarding the composition you can decide whether to make layers or mix all the ingredients first : today we will make a timbale with layered meat, delicious and simple but at the same time refined. Let's get started!
How to make rice timbale
- First of all, take care of cooking the rice by boiling it in a pan of water and following the instructions on the package regarding time.
- When it is ready, mix it with some saffron that you have previously dissolved in a small bowl with water.
- So let's move on to the filling: fry in a pan with oil, onion and a clove of garlic. Then add the minced meat and cook, adding salt and pepper.
- Pour in white wine, then add a few spoonfuls of tomato sauce and once cooked, turn off and let it rest.
- The time has come to compose the timbale: take a lightly greased baking dish, place the rice compacting it to form a layer , then add the meat sauce and add the mozzarella cubes.
- Place another layer of rice to close the pie and then complete the dish with grated cheese and breadcrumbs .
- All you have to do is add a few flakes of butter and then off to the oven: 180°C for about 20 minutes should be enough!
- Serve the timbale while still hot, and enjoy your meal !
