How to make jam in the microwave

As with traditional jam, you'll need fruit and sugar, plus lemon juice . We usually prepare jam in the microwave with leftover fruit, to avoid throwing it away. How to make jam recipe in the microwave
- First, wash the chosen fruit well and, if necessary, peel and clean it. Then cut it into small pieces and transfer it to a bowl suitable for cooking in the microwave.
- Add the sugar and lemon juice, mix and cover with cling film.
- Cook at 750 W for 10 minutes , mix the jam and continue cooking for another 10 minutes.
- At this point you can blend everything with an immersion mixer, to obtain a smoother jam, or keep the pieces.
- Cook for another 2 minutes then transfer into sterilized jars, if you want to keep them for a long time, or into an airtight container. In the first case, after having closed them with a new cap, let the vacuum form by placing them upside down.
Your microwaved jam is ready to be enjoyed or stored. Choose the fruit you prefer while maintaining the proportions we have given you to prepare it with the flavor you prefer.

If vacuum packed, microwaved jam will keep in the pantry for 6 months or more. On the other hand, in the refrigerator , once opened or not stored, it will keep for a couple of weeks.
