Fried Nutella

A soft casing hides a creamy and irresistible filling: we are talking about fried Nutella, a true comfort food.

Fried Nutella is one of those recipes that only the most fearless will decide to try. Yes, because if Nutella, already on its own, eaten with a spoon directly from the jar, has its charm, transforming it into fried and dripping cubes will allow you to take it to a further leap in quality.

Before trying your hand at this easy-to-prepare sweet recipe, however, we must warn you: fried Nutella is addictive ! It's really difficult to imagine the goodness of these chocolate nuggets wrapped in a soft batter that begin to drip when cut, pushing you to quickly taste them one after the other. Also perfect as a Carnival recipe, fried Nutella balls are excellent for children's snacks or birthday parties.

Ingredients

For the fried Nutella

  • Nutella – 16 teaspoons
  • Flour 00 – 150 g
  • 00 flour for breading – to taste
  • Water – 120 g
  • Seed oil for frying – to taste
  • Powdered sugar – to taste

Preparation

How to prepare the fried Nutella recipe

First, get a sheet of baking paper and use it to line a tray or plate. Then, with the help of two teaspoons, form heaps of Nutella . For four people, 16 will be enough as they are very substantial but you can also make more.

Place them in the freezer to harden for at least 2 hours.

Meanwhile, in a bowl, prepare the batter. Mix the flour , sugar and water with a whisk until you obtain a smooth, lump-free mixture.

In a pan that is not too large, heat the seed oil in such a quantity as to fry the morsels by immersion.

Retrieve your Nutella cubes from the freezer, remove them and dip them in flour . Then dip them one by one into the batter .

Using a fork or kitchen tongs, transfer them to the boiling oil and fry them for a couple of minutes. Drain them with a slotted spoon, pass them on absorbent paper and serve piping hot, finishing with a sprinkling of icing sugar if desired.

Alternatively, you can make fried Nutella by enclosing each spoonful of frozen Nutella in a slice of sandwich bread folded in half and tightly sealed. Then dip it in the egg and breadcrumbs before deep frying until golden brown. Serve hot.
