Preparing the peach and jam puff pastries is really simple: 20 minutes and only 3 ingredients will be enough.

We don't know about you, but we are literally crazy about all those quick desserts that are prepared with very few ingredients . It's true, preparing a breakfast cake isn't difficult, but once you try the peach puff pastries you'll understand what "fast" means.

In their simplest version, peach puff pastry is made with just three ingredients: peaches of course, puff pastry and apricot jam. Then there are the richer variants, such as the one with macaroons, or the even faster ones assembled upside down. What do you say, have we intrigued you?

How to make peach puff pastry recipe

  1. First, wash the peaches well and cut them into slices about half a centimeter thick.
  2. Cut the puff pastry first in half lengthwise and then in 3-4 horizontally (it depends on the width of your puff pastry: calculate that it has to accommodate the peach slices).
  3. Spread a teaspoon of jam on each rectangle, then arrange the peach slices.
  4. Bake at 200°C for 15 minutes then leave to cool before serving. You can finish with a dusting of powdered sugar if you like.

If you wish, you can add a crumbled amaretto immediately above the layer of jam and then cover it with the peaches. In this way you will get delicious peach and amaretti puff pastries, equally easy.

Quick Peach Pies

To make the preparation even faster you can proceed as follows.

  1. First, wash the peaches and cut them into slices.
  2. On a sheet of parchment paper brush a layer of honey about 5 cm by 8.
  3. Cover it with the sliced ​​peaches.
  4. Cut the puff pastry into slightly larger rectangles and use them to cover the peaches, pressing the point of contact with the parchment paper well.
  5. Bake at 200°C for 15 minutes then turn upside down and serve, completing with icing sugar.

The puff pastries will keep for a couple of days as crunchy as freshly made. Furthermore, the moisture of the fruit could compromise the consistency of the cake.
