The melon smoothie recipe is a very easy one to enjoy. The perfect choice to indulge in a refreshing cuddle.

With the arrival of the first warm weather (but also in late summer), we feel the desire to consume fresh foods and drinks in an attempt to refresh ourselves. If you are looking for something light but at the same time tasty , which can be good for breakfast as well as for an afternoon break, try the melon smoothie.

When referring to these drinks there always tends to be a bit of confusion so let's clarify straight away: the smoothie is made up of blended fruit, milk and possibly sugar . Normally you shouldn't use ice otherwise it turns into a milkshake. So the only two ingredients you need are milk (including vegetable milk) and ripe fruit: this is the only way you can avoid adding sugar.

Preparing the melon smoothie recipe

  1. Start by cleaning the melon . The most practical way is to cut the two ends first, then divide it in half and remove the seeds with a spoon. Then cut it into slices and remove the peel.
  2. Cut the slices into cubes and place them in the blender glass together with the milk and, if desired, the sugar. Keep in mind that if the fruit is very watery, less milk may be enough.
  3. Start the blender on low speed and let it run for a few seconds.
  4. Increase the speed and blend for about ten seconds until you notice that all the pieces of melon have been blended.
  5. Pour the melon smoothie with milk into glasses and serve.

Delicious variations of the melon smoothie

It's really simple to transform the smoothie into something more delicious and filling like a melon milkshake . As? Add two scoops of ice cream to your melon and start blending, adding the milk little by little until you obtain a creamy consistency that is easy to drink with a straw.

For a richer taste you can instead opt for the melon and peach smoothie. In this case it will be enough to use only 8 of the melon slices and add a peach cut into pieces. If you plan not to consume it immediately, it may be useful to add a spoonful of lemon juice to the mixture. This way the peach will not blacken. Insert the two fruits into the blender and the result will be better than ever.

Conservation
