Polenta with the Thermomix
The polenta recipe with Thermomix is simple and allows you to prepare this dish without difficulty and enjoy it on any occasion.
Today we are preparing a delicious polenta with Thermomix, a dish that is very quick to make and delicious to enjoy as an accompaniment to meat-based dishes, mushrooms, cheeses and much more. Widespread especially in northern Italy , there are many variations: the traditional yellow one with corn flour, the taragna one which includes a part of buckwheat and the very good and unusual white polenta .
Of course, however, preparing polenta is a lot of effort : once we pour the flour into the pan, in fact, we are then forced to stir it for at least 40 minutes . Well, we'll let you in on a secret: if you have a Thermomix at home (all models from TM5 to TM6 up to TM31 are fine), you can prepare polenta very quickly , perfect and without any effort. Ingredients
For the polenta
- Corn flour (not pre-cooked) – 400 g
- Water – 1.5 l
- Coarse salt – 1 tbsp
- Extra virgin olive oil – 1 tablespoon
Preparation
How to prepare the polenta recipe with the Thermomix
First, pour the water , oil and salt into the bowl and bring to the boil for 12 minutes. 100°C Speed 1.
Operate the blades at Speed. 2 and pour the flour directly through the hole in the lid. This way you will avoid the formation of lumps.
Start cooking the polenta for 40 minutes. 100°C speed 2 . Once ready, pour it onto a cutting board or into an oiled or slightly moistened baking dish to prevent it from sticking.

Once the polenta has been prepared, you can enrich it with cheeses and create a sort of polenta concia or serve it as an accompaniment to your second courses.
Conservation
Polenta tends to lose its soft texture as it cools. However, you can store it in the refrigerator, well covered in cling film, for up to 4 days .
