Pumpkin flan with the Thermomix
Here is the recipe for the famous pumpkin flan with Thermomix, the flan with an autumnal flavor that is easy to make at home.
Have you ever tried pumpkin flan made with the Thermomix? This is a quick and incredibly tasty recipe to present at the table. Suitable as a tasty appetizer or as a side dish, this preparation consists of a pumpkin-based flan . The vegetable, symbol par excellence of the autumn period, is the main ingredient in a deliciously soft dough usually served in single portions .
Flavored with an array of ingredients, this pumpkin pie is soft and velvety. To make the recipe even faster, we use the Bimby TM31, but the TM5 or TM6 are also good for this preparation.
Ingredients
For the flans
- Cleaned pumpkin – 500 g
- Onion – 1
- Eggs – 4
- Grated Parmesan – 80 g
- Milk – 50 ml
- Butter – to taste
- Nutmeg – to taste
- Extra virgin olive oil – 30 ml
- Fine salt – to taste
- Pepper – to taste
Preparation
How to prepare pumpkin flans with the Thermomix
First, cut the pumpkin and clean the inside of seeds and filaments. Remove the peel and cut into not very large pieces.
Peel the onion and cut it into slices. Place it in the bowl and chop for 3 seconds. speed 7 . Add the pieces of pumpkin pulp, then drizzle with oil . Season with salt and pepper and cook for 30 minutes. 100°C speed 1.
Once cooked, blend everything for 1 minute. speed 8 .
Add the grated Parmesan , eggs and milk . Season with a pinch of nutmeg and season with salt. Mix again for 30 seconds. speed 4 Counterclockwise .
Butter the single-portion aluminum molds and pour the mixture, filling them 2/3 full . Place the cups in a baking tray and pour as much hot water as needed to reach half the height of the flan mould.
Cook in a static oven at 180°C for 45 minutes . Once cooked, let them cool before serving.
You can serve your pumpkin pies like this or accompany them with a cheese fondue . We recommend melting 200 g of it choosing between Gorgonzola and Taleggio together with 50 ml of milk or cream. Pour over the flan and enjoy hot: you won't regret it!
Alternatively you can opt for the delicious pumpkin and leek flans , without eggs and also easy to make with the Thermomix.
Conservation
From the first taste, you will fall in love with this very soft pumpkin souffle with the Thermomix. You can store it in the fridge for 2-3 days , covered in cling film.
