Preparation of the recipe for pasta with rocket and tuna

  1. Fill a pot of water and bring it to the fire.
  2. In the meantime that the water reaches a boil, carefully wash the rocket and dry it.
  3. As soon as the water boils, add salt and drop the pasta. In the meantime, you can dedicate yourself to preparing the rocket pesto.
  4. In a blender, pour the rocket, almonds, extra virgin olive oil and a pinch of fine salt.
  5. Blend all the ingredients until you get a smooth and homogeneous pesto.
  6. Pour the pesto into a pan, but don’t turn on the stove. As soon as the pasta is cooked, pour it directly into the pan. Also add a ladle of cooking water and mix.
  7. At this point, add the grated lemon zest and the tuna fillets. Give one last stir before impacting. If you prefer, also add some flakes of parmesan to obtain a pasta with tuna, rocket and parmesan.
  8. If, on the other hand, you are looking for a touch of flavor , you can add anchovy fillets at the time of the dish.

To prepare a cold pasta with tuna, rocket, cherry tomatoes and black olives, let the pasta cool after having drained it. Add the tomatoes cut into 4 parts and the pitted black olives to the traditional preparation.

You can keep this quick and easy recipe in an airtight container for a couple of days in the refrigerator. It can be heated when needed or even enjoyed cold.
