The smell of homemade bread always puts you in a good mood. But if we told you that it can be prepared without flour using just 5 ingredients, would you believe us? We are talking about red lentil bread, naturally gluten-free and lactose-free , perfect for breakfast or to bring to the table during main meals.

Red lentils are a versatile ingredient, rich in fiber and protein . Highly digestible, just leave them to soak overnight and then blend them with a few other ingredients to obtain a truly incredible protein bread . Curious to discover all the steps to make it happen?

How to make red lentil bread recipe

First, the night before , soak the lentils in a basin full of water. It is important that they rehydrate for 12 hours .

The following day, drain them and rinse them quickly under running water then transfer them to a bowl.

Add the yeast , salt and oil and blend with an immersion blender until you obtain a puree. If this step proves difficult you can add a cup of water.

Transfer the mixture into a plumcake mold lined with baking paper (if silicone is not needed), distribute the sesame seeds on the surface and bake in the oven at 180°C for 45 minutes . Before taking it out of the oven, proceed with the toothpick test : it must come out completely dry.

Let the lentil bread cool completely before cutting.

Conservation
