Today we are preparing a classic recipe of the Italian tradition: roast turkey in the oven flavored with herbs. With this recipe you will bring a soft, tasty and flavored turkey to your table, which will make your mouth water just by smelling it.
In today's recipe we will flavor the roast turkey breast with mixed herbs, garlic and mustard, but you can add other ingredients, such as myrtle berries, or choose other aromatic herbs that you like. Let's see how to make roast turkey with herbs, a dish also suitable for celiacs!
Preparation of roast turkey breast in the oven
- Take the turkey breast and tie it with string both vertically and horizontally. In the meantime, in a bowl make the sauce for the roast turkey.
- Pour the extra virgin olive oil, a teaspoon of mustard, a tablespoon of broth, the chopped garlic and all the various aromatic herbs finely chopped with a knife. Season with salt and pepper and mix the sauce well.
- Brown the turkey in a pan with butter and white wine. For this operation, make sure you keep the heat high, so as to seal in all the meat juices quickly.
- After you have browned the turkey on all sides, place it on a roasting tray and brush it well with the aromatic herb seasoning, then pour all the sauce on the bottom and cook for about 45 minutes at 200°C.
- Serve your turkey still hot cut into slices with the herb-flavored sauce. Enjoy your meal!
