For a dish full of flavours, we offer you a second course with sausage and mushrooms, to be prepared in a pan in just a few minutes.

Delicious both as a single dish and as a second course, sausage and mushrooms are suitable for conquering the whole family. The recipe is very simple and can be prepared in a few minutes, because you only need to cook the main ingredients in a pan . The two form a perfect pairing which – very importantly – must be flavored with some additions. To do this you can use garlic, parsley and white wine . The latter revolutionizes the flavor of the entire dish and makes it more refined.

Preparing the recipe for sausage and mushrooms

  1. Take a non-stick pan and pour a drizzle of olive oil on the bottom. Place a clove of garlic in the center and turn on the heat, browning everything for a couple of minutes.
  2. Also add the sausage and leave to brown in this way for about 5 minutes , making sure that it is well browned on all sides.
  3. In the meantime, carefully clean the mushrooms by removing the final part of the stem and cleaning the head with a damp cloth. Then cut them into slices about half a centimeter thick.
  4. Add the mushrooms to the meat, add a pinch of salt and pepper and leave to flavor for a few minutes before blending with the white wine.
  5. Cover with a lid and cook for another 10 minutes over low heat . Finally, remove the lid and let any excess water evaporate. Once cooked, you can distribute on plates and flavor with a little parsley.

This dish is truly delicious and the sausage and mushroom combination is certainly among the tastiest. If you want to use it as a seasoning for pasta , then you can remove the casing and crumble the sausage with your hands. In this way the final cooking times will be halved and you will be able to prepare, for example, sausage and mushroom pasta or, better yet, tagliatelle.

If, however, you wish to obtain an even richer single dish, then immediately add, together with the sausage, 2 medium potatoes cut into 1cm cubes.

Conservation

Serve this second course quite hot. If you have leftovers, you can store it tightly closed in a container in the fridge for 2-3 days , heating it if necessary.
