Sugar-free strawberry jam: the light recipe

Sugar-free strawberry jam: ingredients and recipe for those who love jam to spread on toast, bread or to enrich desserts.
In the height of spring it is possible to find fresh and juicy strawberries, perfect for preparing delicious jams. The sugar-free strawberry jam that we are offering you today is a very simple homemade preserve, perfect for those who love natural and sugar-free recipes. In fact it would be more correct to call it strawberry compote but as you well know we are more for substance than dialectics!
The jam prepared following this recipe can be stored in the pantry for several months . Here is the step-by-step preparation for 3 250 gram jars.

Preparation of sugar-free strawberry jam
- First, start by washing the strawberries well, then dry them, remove the stems and cut them into chunks, then also wash the apple , remove the stem and seeds then cut it into chunks without removing the peel.
- Place the strawberries and apple in a large saucepan, add the lemon juice and water.
- Mix well and put on the heat. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally. As soon as the fruit is nice and soft (it will take about 40-45 minutes), remove the pan from the heat and blend everything with an immersion blender until you obtain a creamy mixture.
- Place back on the stove and cook over low heat. Pour a teaspoon of jam onto a saucer , leave to cool and tilt. If the jam doesn't drip you can turn off the heat .
- Pour the jam into sterilized glass jars , close with lids and turn them upside down. Let the jars cool completely before placing them in the pantry.
In this video you can see all the steps but, just like we did, it is not necessary to blend the apples first. They will cook together with the strawberries and we will blend everything with the immersion blender only at the end.
Conservation
The jam can be kept in the pantry for up to a year, if the place is dark, cool and dry. Once opened (we recommend a few weeks after its creation), place it in a jar in the refrigerator and finish it within a week at most.
