Peach jam
A great classic of Italian cuisine, suitable for making desserts but simply delicious if spread on bread with a thin layer of butter: we are talking about homemade peach jam, a very easy homemade recipe. With just a few ingredients you can prepare a fantastic peach jam , so what are you waiting for? The ingredients are:
- 1 kg of yellow peaches
- 250 g of sugar (or 1 apple)
- 50 g of lemon juice
To make this peach jam we recommend washing and cutting the fruit into pieces. Place it in a pan and let it cook over low heat together with the lemon juice and grated zest (optional). After about 10 minutes of cooking, add the sugar and let your jam go for another, approximately, 45 minutes. Once ready, test the saucer and pour the jam into sterilized jars.
Peaches in syrup
How good arepeaches in syrup ! Just think that to make it all you need is fresh fruit, a little water, some sugar… and a lot of good will! Actually not even that much, since the recipe is very simple . Try it, you need:
- 2 kg of peaches
- 1 liter of water
- 500 g of sugar
First, prepare the sugar syrup: put the water and sugar in a saucepan and let it cook for about 5 minutes (until the sweet part has completely melted, incorporating itself with the water and leaving no lumps). Let the syrup cool and, in the meantime, carefully wash the peaches with their skin under cold running water. Peel them and cut them in half (or segments) and carefully arrange them in some previously sterilized glass jars. At this point, pour the syrup into the containers and close everything with the lid . Boil the preserves in water and create a vacuum.
