How to Make Cooked Apples (In Pieces)
If you prefer to serve them in cubes, you will get a dessert with a different consistency, probably softer and easier to eat as well as tastier.
- Not much changes in the preparation: if you want to make them into small pieces, you simply have to peel the apples and cubes of the size you like best.
- Then put on the stove with sugar, cinnamon, lemon and water for about 20 minutes.
- When cooked, serve with a sprinkling of ground cinnamon!
A tip: do not cut the apples into pieces too small , otherwise you risk that they will flake during cooking, and you will get an apple puree! Also, for the same reason, always keep an eye on them while cooking .
Preparation of baked apples
- Wash the apples and remove the core .
- Arrange them in a baking dish and add a little water, lemon juice, sugar and cinnamon.
- Cook at 200 ° C for about 30 minutes .

Preparing the recipe for cooked apples in a pot (whole)
As a variety of apples we suggest the Pink Lady , very sugary and the Golden , with a sweet taste and crunchy pulp.
- Start by washing the apples. Then cut the upper cap and remove the stalk with the appropriate tool or a spoon, leaving them whole . Transfer them to a thick-bottomed pan or pot.
- Add a drizzle of water, sugar, lemon juice and cinnamon sticks. Turn on the heat and cook – with the lid on – for 40 minutes or in any case the time necessary to soften them.
- Serve them warm or cold, in single-portion bowls with fork and knife accompanying them with cream or vanilla ice cream.
Preparation of the apples cooked in the microwave
The fastest method is by far the one with the help of the microwave. Again, you can make them whole or in pieces
- Whole : wash, core, add the other ingredients and cook at 600W for 5 minutes. If this is not enough, continue cooking in small intervals of 60 seconds at a time.
- In pieces : wash, peel, cut, add the other ingredients and cook at 600 W for 5 minutes.

Preparation of apples cooked with the Thermomix
The Thermomix, on the other hand, is perfect for steaming them , or with the Varoma (if you have it, you can do the same with the bamboo steamer ).
- Peel the apples, remove the core and cut them into coarse pieces. Pour in the water and set to 15 minutes , Varoma temperature, speed 1.
- Also add sugar, lemon and cinnamon and continue cooking for another 5 minutes.
- Serve sprinkled with a little cinnamon , and enjoy your meal!

Why eat baked apples? Properties and calories
They are a great help in case of a lazy bowel , but be careful not to overdo it: in large quantities, cooked apples are laxative!
