- Then, cut them into pieces or strips.
- Peel the tomatoes and cut their pulp into wedges, eliminating the internal part with the seeds.
- Pour the oil slowly into the bottom of a pan.
- Peel the onion and cut it finely into slices and add it to the oil; sauté for 5 minutes.
- Next, add the tomatoes and cook for 2 minutes. Then, you can also add the platters.
- Add a ladle of hot water, season with salt and pepper and close with a lid. Cook for 10 minutes .
- At this point, add the tomato sauce and cook for another 5 minutes.
- When the sauce has reduced, you can turn it off and serve.

Tomato platters are a genuine side dish that is very easy to prepare, to be combined with second courses of meat or fish. You can store them for a maximum of 3 days in the fridge.
