Water apple cake
Recipe and tips for preparing a perfect water apple pie: taste and lightness in every bite.
It is a real delicacy, the apple water cake, which is also light because it does not contain eggs or butter. It can be consumed in the morning for breakfast, as a dessert at the end of a meal or in the afternoon as a snack. Furthermore. it is simple to prepare and requires a total of 40 minutes of your time, including cooking. Let's find out how to prepare apple water pie.
Preparation of apple water pie
- Take a nice large bowl and place the flour inside after passing it through a sieve.
- Then add 180 g of granulated sugar or brown sugar if you prefer, a pinch of salt together with the yeast. If you want to give an additional aroma and flavor to your apple water pie you can also add just a spoonful of ground cinnamon.
- Add the grated lemon zest to give the cake that characteristic aroma that goes well with apples.
- With a spoon or a whisk, mix these powders to obtain uniformity also from a chromatic point of view.
- Add the water at room temperature and the vegetable oil to the bowl.
- With the whisk, start mixing until you obtain a creamy and homogeneous mixture. It is important that it is also smooth so it must be free of lumps.
- Take 2 of the 3 apples available and, after removing the peel, cut them into slices .
- Place the apple slices in the bowl and mix gently.
- At this point it is important to choose the right size of pan for the apple water pie. For the doses used, the advice is to prefer a pan with a diameter of 24 cm to be lined with baking paper or to be buttered perhaps with the addition of a pinch of flour.
- Pour the mixture into the pan and cut the other apple into slices.
- The resulting slices must be placed on the surface of the cake following the circumference to decorate and give further flavour.
- Before serving, sprinkle about twenty grams of brown sugar. Granulated sugar is also fine.
- Inform the preheated oven in static mode at a temperature of 180°C for 30 minutes . Alternatively, you can also choose the convection oven but you must lower the temperature by about 10°C while keeping the cooking time unchanged.
- Do the toothpick test around 28-29 minutes of cooking and turn off the oven if necessary.
- Before serving, leave to cool and decorate with icing sugar .

Preservation of water-based apple pie should be done at room temperature, so in your own kitchen, with the only precaution being to cover it with cling film . This is essential to prevent the cake from being dry after a few hours.
