How to prepare apple pie with grandma's recipe

  1. First, peel the apples , remove the core and cut three into chunks, one into not too thin slices (about half a centimeter is ideal).
  2. Place them in two separate containers and sprinkle them with lemon juice to prevent them from blackening.
  3. Then break the eggs into a bowl, add the sugar , seed oil, milk and lemon zest and mix well using a wooden ladle.
  4. Then add the flour , baking powder and vanilla and continue mixing until there are no more lumps.
  5. At this point add the diced apples.
  6. Pour the mixture into a 24cm diameter baking pan lined with baking paper (or buttered and floured).
  7. Distribute the sliced ​​apples on the surface.
  8. Then cook at 180°C for 40 minutes, testing with a toothpick before taking out of the oven. If inserted in the center of the cake it must come out completely dry, vice versa continue cooking for another 5 minutes and repeat the test.
  9. Let grandma's apple pie cool before serving. If you like, you can also decorate with a sprinkling of icing sugar .
