Sugar-free fig jam with the Thermomix is ​​an excellent basic recipe useful for filling sweets and tarts in a genuine and delicious way. Preparing the recipe for homemade sugar-free fig jam

  1. Sterilize some jars in boiling water for 30 minutes , then let them dry upside down on a clean cloth.
  2. Wash the figs well, peel them and cut them into small pieces .
  3. Pour them into the mixing bowl together with the water and the lemon zest and juice.
  4. Let the Thermomix work for 30 minutes at 100° C at speed 2 .
  5. After this time, proceed with the teaspoon test : take a handful of jam and put it on a saucer. If the mixture is thick enough it will be ready.
  6. Transfer the hot jam into sterilized jars and screw the cap tightly .
  7. Turn them upside down and let them cool completely , then turn them over and store or try your homemade jam right away!

If you like, flavor the jam with ground cinnamon or ginger, and with a daring glass of rum! For a spicy note , add some chilli pepper or ground black pepper.

storage

The jam will keep for up to a year if sealed tightly and stored in a cool, dry place. Once opened, keep it in the fridge for up to 3-4 days .
