You can accompany it with some delicious homemade dessert, or eat it in the most classic way, spreading it on bread, with perhaps a veil of butter.
Are you ready to prepare it together? Then turn on the Thermomix and… let's get started!
How to make cherry jam with the Thermomix
- First, wash the cherries and dry them well. Then, once done, remove both the stem and the stone and leave them aside.
- Once you have completed this phase, place the peel of half a lemon in the Thermomix and set to high speed. 7 for about 10 seconds , then set the grated zest aside.
- Now put the cherries in the Thermomix jug and let them go to Vel. 1, 100°C temperature, for approximately 20 minutes.
- Then check that you have removed all the stones by removing the bowl from the Thermomix, then repeat the cooking at Speed. 1, 100°C for about 15-20 minutes adding the sugar and zest.
- If the jam has obtained the desired consistency, even passing the saucer test , you can turn it off and put it in jars.
- If, however, it is too liquid, set the Varoma mode, again at 100°C for another 10-15 minutes .
- When the jam is finally nice and creamy, place it in preserving jars, which you must first sterilize by boiling, then close and leave to cool .
