How to make cherry jam with the Thermomix

  1. First, wash the cherries and dry them well. Then, once done, remove both the stem and the stone and leave them aside.
  2. Once you have completed this phase, place the peel of half a lemon in the Thermomix and set to high speed. 7 for about 10 seconds , then set the grated zest aside.
  3. Now put the cherries in the Thermomix jug and let them go to Vel. 1, 100°C temperature, for approximately 20 minutes.
  4. Then check that you have removed all the stones by removing the bowl from the Thermomix, then repeat the cooking at Speed. 1, 100°C for about 15-20 minutes adding the sugar and zest.
  5. If the jam has obtained the desired consistency, even passing the saucer test , you can turn it off and put it in jars.
  6. If, however, it is too liquid, set the Varoma mode, again at 100°C for another 10-15 minutes .
  7. When the jam is finally nice and creamy, place it in preserving jars, which you must first sterilize by boiling, then close and leave to cool .
