Preparation of the cabbage juice
- To prepare the cabbage juice, let’s start by saying that you will need to get a seasonal cabbage , the choice is yours whether it is hooded or red. Remove any damaged leaves and proceed with the preparation.
- We advise you to start with the red cabbage and apple juice because the bitter taste of this vegetable may be too strong for less accustomed palates. Then activate the centrifuge and little by little add the cabbage leaves and the cored apple (if organic you can keep the peel).
- The result is a pleasant tasting drink with a beautiful purple color.
- However, we advise you to use an extractor and proceed in the same way. In fact, to appreciate all the benefits of this health drink, it is important not to heat it, which happens instead with the centrifuge .
Cabbage centrifuged: some variations
Staying on the subject of quick and easy recipes, there are some variations of this basic preparation that we recommend you try. The first is the centrifuged red cabbage and carrot which, like the version with apple, is ideal if you don’t like the excessively bitter taste of this vegetable. Very particular but light and tasty, the cauliflower and carrot juice is obtained by inserting in the machine 1 carrot and 1/4 of cauliflower per serving but I recommend: drink it immediately!
The black cabbage extract, on the other hand, is prepared with 100 g of black cabbage and the juice of half a lemon per serving. Also in this case it is sufficient to insert all the ingredients into the machine, wait for the juice to come out, then drink immediately.

Red cabbage juice can be stored in the refrigerator for a day but keep in mind that many of its properties tend to dissolve in contact with the air.
