And if you want to try a less sweet variant, you can also make a delicious tuna and avocado tartare: all you have to do is replace it with the mango!
Preparation of bluefin tuna tartare with mango
- Let's start with the preparation of the mango: clean the fruit by removing the outer skin and the stone and cut the mango into small cubes with a knife, leaving them to rest in a cool place in the refrigerator.
- Now, take the lime and grate the zest being careful not to scratch the white parts, which would give the dish a too bitter taste. At this point, squeeze the lime and lemon and mix the two juices.
- Also chop the shallot very finely, finally take the tuna fillets and cut them into small pieces with the help of a sharp knife.
- Dip the tuna in the lime and lemon juice and add the mint, lime zest, shallot, a pinch of salt and pepper and a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil, leaving it all to flavor for a few minutes.
- Now all you have to do is plate up: with the help of a pastry ring, make a sort of turret with the marinated tuna, and then decorate with the pieces of mango, sesame and two leaves of mint. Bon appetit !
