How okonomiyaki is prepared, a typical dish of Japanese cuisine

How to make okonomiyaki with the original recipe

  1. Break the egg into a bowl, add the flour and mix well. Then add the dashi, or plain water and mix well until you get a batter .
  2. Slice the savoy cabbage and spring onion, peel the carrot and cut it into julienne strips, then add the vegetables to the batter together with the shrimps .
  3. Mix well and pour everything into a well oiled pan of 20 cm in diameter . Cook with the lid on for 5 minutes, then turn and continue cooking on the other side for 5 minutes .
