Making parker house rolls recipe

1. Start by taking a saucepan and melting 40 g of butter together with the sugar and milk.

2. Once the ingredients are well blended , let them cool and pour them into a bowl adding the egg, baking powder and a pinch of salt.

3. Mix the ingredients well and add the flour, continuing to mix until you get a workable dough with your hands.
4. Shape it into a ball, leave it in the bowl and let it rest (covered with a cloth) for at least 2 hours .

5. After the time has elapsed, the dough will have doubled in size. Take it and arrange it on the work surface, spreading it out so as to obtain a thickness of about 3 mm . With the help of a mold (a glass is fine too) create circles and fold them all in half to form half-moons.
6. Arrange them very close together on a baking tray lined with parchment paper and let them rest for about 30 minutes.

7. In the meantime , melt the other 20 g of butter and, after the time has elapsed, brush it on the crescents. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C and cook for 20 minutes.
8. When the buns are cooked and well browned, brush them with the remaining melted butter and let them cool.

The fluffy parker house rolls are finally ready to be served and enjoyed.
