Pepperoni in an air fryer
Easy to prepare with a little oil, peperonata in the air fryer turns into a light and delicious side dish.

In fact, the simplest version is prepared only with peppers and garlic but there are also richer and tastier variations with onions, potatoes or olives. In short, just like the classic recipe for peperonata, this one also stands out for its versatility .
How to prepare the recipe for peperonata in an air fryer
- First wash the peppers under running water and dry them with kitchen paper. Then brush them with a drizzle of oil and place them in the basket of the air fryer.
- Also put two cloves of garlic with the peel in the basket.
- Cook everything at 200°C for 30 minutes .
- Once cooked, transfer the peppers to a freezer bag while they are still hot and seal it tightly. Allow them to cool before removing the skin and internal seeds.
- Crush the two cloves of garlic in order to "squeeze" the contents directly into a bowl.
- Add the peppers cut into strips and season with plenty of oil, salt and, to taste, some freshly chopped parsley.
- Serve the peperonata as a side dish , hot or at room temperature.
To prepare the peperonata with potatoes , add one or two potatoes previously boiled and cut into wedges in a pan. It is also possible to cook the potato wedges in an air fryer together with the peppers and then sauté everything in the pan. In this way your side dish will be even tastier.

storage
Peppers cooked in an air fryer will keep in an airtight container for 2-3 days . You can enjoy it at room temperature or slightly heated in a pan.
