Preparing basmati rice in an air fryer is possible and very simple, as it only involves three steps.

The procedure involves some unusual steps because, as we know, this type of food cooks for various times in boiled water. For this reason, even in this preparation it is necessary to start with hot water. To do this, you need to boil the water separately and then add it to the air fryer along with the rice. This effort is worth it, because the rice will be cooked to perfection and ready to be seasoned in the way you prefer. We also specify that this preparation is perfect for basmati rice, that is, with an elongated shape.
Preparing the recipe for basmati rice in an air fryer
- Before starting the process, preheat the air fryer to 180°C for about 3 minutes.
- Proceed, then, by pouring the water into a saucepan and put it on the stove, until it comes to a boil.
- Put the rice in a narrow-mesh colander and rinse it several times under running water, to make it very clear and eliminate excess starch.
- Transfer the rice to a saucepan with a non-stick bottom that is the right size to fit into the small appliance.
- Add the boiled water to the rice and seal the saucepan with a sheet of aluminum foil.
- Place the container in the basket of the air fryer and proceed to cooking.
- You can cook the rice at 180°C for about 25 minutes .
- At the end of cooking, the rice is dry and cooked to perfection.
- Mix lightly with a fork and proceed to season it.
