Crispy chicken schnitzel in an air fryer will please everyone. The choice is yours whether to serve it with fried potatoes (or, why not, in an air fryer) or with a green salad . In all cases the preparation is very simple and fast: flour, egg and breadcrumbs and then straight into the basket with a few splashes of oil.
Preparation of chicken cutlets in an air fryer
- First , lightly beat the chicken slices until they are about half a centimeter thick. This way they will cook faster and prevent them from drying out.
- Once this is done, prepare all the ingredients for the breading: beat the eggs in a dish with salt and pepper, put the flour in another and the breadcrumbs in yet another.
- Dip the cutlets first in the flour , then in the egg and lastly in the breadcrumbs . For an extra crunchiness, pass them again in the egg and in the bread so as to obtain a double breading.
- Place them in the basket of the air fryer without overlapping them and drizzle them with extra virgin olive oil .
- Bake them at 200°C for 8 minutes , turning them halfway through cooking and spraying them on the other side with oil as well. Serve them hot.
Our advice is to serve these light cutlets in an air fryer with excellent air fryer potatoes and homemade mayonnaise : a simple but tasty dinner.
storage
The chicken cutlets can be kept for 2-3 days in the refrigerator, well covered in plastic wrap. We advise you to heat them in a pan with a drizzle of oil or in an air fryer at low temperature for a few minutes before consuming them.
