Preparing the cherry crumble is quite simple: the dough similar to shortcrust pastry does not require any particular processing, in fact a fork will be enough to obtain the right consistency. How to prepare the cherry crumble with the traditional recipe

  1. First, place the two flours , 70 g of sugar and the zest of a lemon on a pastry board and mix quickly.
  2. Add the butter cut into very cold pieces and mash with a fork to obtain a crumbly mixture. If you want, you can also help yourself with your hands.
  3. Let it rest in the refrigerator for about 20 minutes , the time to prepare the cherries.
  4. Pit the fruit after washing it and transfer it to a bowl with the remaining sugar and lemon zest.
  5. Transfer it to a buttered baking dish of about 20 cm in diameter .
  6. Cover with the previously prepared crumbs.
  7. Finally, cook at 180°C for 30 minutes , until the surface is golden brown and crunchy.
  8. Serve the cherry crumble while still warm or at room temperature.

Cherry crumble recipe with the Thermomix

You can also prepare the cherry crumble with the Thermomix quickly and easily by exploiting all the potential of this incredible robot. The steps are really simple and differ very little from those of the traditional recipe.

  1. Put the two flours , 70 g of sugar , 75 g of cold butter and the zest of a lemon in the Thermomix jug: 6 sec. speed 6 .
  2. Transfer to the refrigerator for about 20 minutes.
  3. In the meantime, clean the cherries by removing the stem and stone and transfer them to a bowl.
  4. Season them with the sugar and the remaining lemon zest then pour the mixture into the bottom of a buttered oven dish of about 20 cm in diameter.
  5. Cover with the crumble without compacting too much and cook at 180°C for 30 minutes.
  6. Serve the cherry crumble with the Thermomix cold or at room temperature.

storage

The cherry crumble can be stored outside the refrigerator for a maximum of one day . In addition, it is better to keep it in a cool place, well covered, and bring it to room temperature before serving. However, it is advisable to consume this sweet within 3 days .
