Preparation of watermelon ice cream

  1. To prepare watermelon ice cream without ice cream maker, start by cutting the watermelon into wedges, then remove the peel and seeds then cut it into pieces. Weigh the pulp to make sure you have obtained the right amount and blend the watermelon.
  2. Temporarily keep the watermelon aside, take the water and sugar and put them in a saucepan. Bring to the heat and wait for the liquid to boil .
  3. Turn off the heat, add the pureed watermelon pulp and mix well. Allow to cool and whip the cold cream from the fridge with an electric mixer.
  4. Add the whipped cream and mix from bottom to top so as not to disassemble the cream. Transfer the mixture to a container suitable for storing in the freezer .
  5. Put in the freezer and let it rest for 3 hours , taking care to mix the mixture once every hour at regular intervals to prevent ice crystals from forming.
