It’s called cloud bread: it’s gluten-free, carbohydrate-free and very easy to prepare

Cloud bread

How to prepare Cloudbread cloud bread? Here are the ingredients and the recipe for making flourless (and carbohydrate-free) sandwiches!

Cloud bread, also known as Cloudbread®*, is a bread with a soft texture and a very particular taste thanks to the combination of spreadable cheese and eggs. You don't need any type of flour to prepare it – it's carbohydrate-free! – and this also makes it suitable for celiacs and gluten intolerants.

Given the presence of eggs , they have a taste similar to omelettes, this does not mean that they cannot be used to prepare delicious sandwiches or canapés to be filled as desired. Let's see all the preparation steps right away!

Preparation of cloud bread

  1. Shell the eggs, taking care to separate the yolks from the whites.
  2. Add the cream of tartar to the egg whites and whisk until stiff.
  3. Whip the egg yolks with the spreadable cheese.
  4. Combine the two mixtures and with the help of a ladle mix delicately from bottom to top so as not to dismantle the egg whites.
  5. Distribute the resulting mixture by spoonfuls onto a baking tray lined with baking paper and spread them out lightly to obtain small mounds of the same thickness. Bake in a preheated oven at 150°C for 30 minutes.
  6. Once cooked, remove the sandwiches from the oven and leave to cool for at least an hour before using as desired. Enjoy your meal!

If you prefer, you can make cloud bread with ricotta using it instead of spreadable cheese . Alternatively, for another gluten free recipe, we recommend preparing gluten-free millet bread !
