Kinder Delice cake consists of two layers of chocolate sponge cake interspersed with a delicious white cream. The original recipe isn't difficult but for an optimal result you need to pay attention to the rest times. The result will be to obtain a soft cocoa cake filled with a very creamy milk cream and covered with a dark ganache. An irresistible sweet Perfect for a birthday party for the little ones and for all those nostalgic for snacks.

How to prepare the original Kinder Delice cake recipe

  1. Let's start by preparing the dough for the base : in a bowl, beat the eggs with the sugar, using an electric mixer, until the mixture is light and frothy.
  2. Slowly pour the milk at room temperature first and then the oil without ceasing to mix.
  3. Add the bag of vanillin and mix.
  4. Add: sifted flour, cocoa and baking powder, as well as salt and vanillin. Mix with a spatula or a hand whisk until a homogeneous mixture is obtained, without lumps. The ideal is to pour it into a 20 cm springform pan greased and lined with parchment paper.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven at 180°C for 35-40 minutes or in any case until the test with the inserted toothpick has a positive result, i.e. it will be dry.
  6. Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool before transferring it to cool. When cold, cut the cake in half horizontally to obtain two discs of the same thickness .
  7. Prepare the filling : whip the cream with an electric whisk in a bowl. Add 100 g of condensed milk and continue to whisk until you get a thick cream.
  8. Lightly wet the first disk of cake with milk. Then spread the milk cream and 200 g of cream, distributing it evenly.
  9. Cover with the second disk of cake and place in the refrigerator for 3 hours .
  10. After this time, prepare the glaze : in a small saucepan, melt the remaining 100 g of condensed milk with the cream (150 g) and bring to the boil.
  11. Pour the mixture over the chopped dark chocolate in a bowl and mix until smooth. Let it cool for 15 minutes.
  12. Now you have two choices : then pour the icing on the center of the cooled cake and let it go down, covering it all, or just put it on top of the cake with a pastry spatula.
  13. Leave to cool in the refrigerator for 1 hour before serving, so that the glaze settles and the cutting of the slices takes place without complications.
