How to make the egg-free orange cake recipe

  2. Take the zest from one of them, using a grater and being careful not to take the white part, then squeeze them both. You will need to get 300ml of juice.
  3. Transfer it to a bowl together with the oil and water , then add the sugar , stirring well until it has dissolved.
  4. Finally add the citrus peel and the sifted flour with the baking powder , stirring vigorously with a whisk.
  5. Pour the mixture into a 22-24 cm diameter pan lined with parchment paper and bake at 180 ° C for 35-40 minutes , doing the toothpick test before taking it out of the oven.
  6. Let the orange cake cool completely before removing it from the mold and decorate it as desired with icing sugar .

Using the same ingredients and the same procedure you can prepare a very soft orange water donut, a light cake perfect for breakfast or a snack. It will be the same in all respects as the previous version, but with the addition of a central hole!
