Preparing the recipe for the panna cotta cake
- To begin, soak the gelatine sheets, leaving them for 10 minutes in a bowl of cold water.
- In a saucepan, pour the fresh liquid cream and add the granulated sugar.
- Mix and put on the stove; then cook over a moderate heat for a few minutes, stirring occasionally.
- When the cream comes close to boiling , turn off.
- Squeeze the gelatine sheets and add them to the hot cream. Mix with a hand whisk, letting the gelatine dissolve.
- Cover the container with cling film and let the mixture cool for about 20 minutes or even more; you can keep it at room temperature or even in the fridge.
- For the biscuit base, melt the butter in a saucepan, on the stove or in the microwave. Then, let it cool.
- Blend the biscuits in a blender , quite finely.
- Add the butter to the biscuits and mix to obtain a homogeneous mixture.
- Take a springform pan, with a diameter of approximately 24 cm , and pour the mixture onto the bottom.
- Using the back of a spoon, compact the base. Then, let it harden for at least 30 minutes in the fridge .
- After this time, pour the panna cotta mixture onto the base and level the surface.
- Cover with cling film and place in the fridge to harden for at least 4 hours .
- After that, it's ready to serve!
