They are among the favorites of the little ones but even the grown-ups can hardly resist them. We prepare frankfurters with just three ingredients flavoring them with mustard , but if you want you can also prepare half with mustard and half with ketchup. That’s how!

Ingredients for 4 people:

  • 1 roll of ready-made rectangular puff pastry
  • 10 frankfurters
  • 2 tablespoons of mustard

Unroll the puff pastry and spread a thin layer of mustard. Place the first frankfurter along the short side, roll up and, as soon as the pastry overlaps, press well and cut. Place another frankfurter and proceed until the pastry is finished. Then obtain some 2 cm cylinders , place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake at 180 ° C for 20 minutes or until they are golden brown. Serve them once cooled.

Of all the pretzels, the recipe we like the most is that of puff pastry rolls . What makes us go crazy is the combination of tomato and cheese , the same as pizza, which however in this preparation with puff pastry is even more pronounced. Even this time, just a few ingredients are enough to prepare these homemade pretzels.

Ingredients for 4 people:

  • 1 roll of puff pastry
  • 100 g of tomato sauce
  • 100 g of aged sliced ​​cheese
  • dry oregano to taste

Unroll the puff pastry and spread the tomato sauce seasoned with oregano and salt on the surface. Keep them a little away from the edges to prevent everything from rolling out. Then cover with the sliced ​​cheese and roll up tightly with the help of parchment paper. Obtain slices of a couple of centimeters, place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake at 180 ° C for 10-15 minutes, until they are puffy and golden. Then serve them once cooled.

Puff pastry rustics are one of the most versatile pretzels recipes ever. The filling is in fact easy to customize according to your tastes and you can opt for the classic combinations found in the bakery, such as tuna and peppers, or a delicate and perfect one for vegetarians, stuffed with lean meat with ricotta and spinach .

Ingredients for 4 people:

  • 1 roll of rectangular puff pastry
  • 100 g of cooked spinach
  • 100 g of cottage cheese
  • 2 tablespoons of grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 pinch of nutmeg
  • Salt to taste

Chop the cooked spinach and mix in a bowl with the ricotta , parmesan , salt and nutmeg . Once you have a rather dry filling, transfer it to a pastry bag with a smooth one centimeter nozzle. Roll out a strip about a centimeter away from the short side of the pastry, roll up and as soon as they overlap, cut. Proceed with another strip of filling, rolling from time to time, until all the ingredients are used up. Then cut the rustici into 2 cm pieces, place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake at 180 ° C for 15-20 minutes , until the pastry is golden and crisp. Serve them once cooled.

To make everyone happy, we recommend you also try our puff pastry pretzels with prawns . Simple and with a delicate flavor , they resemble small croissants and are perfect for enriching your pretzels even more.

Ingredients for 4 people:

  • 1 roll of round puff pastry
  • 16 prawn tails
  • 1 egg for brushing
  • poppy seeds to taste
  • sesame seeds to taste
  • Salt to taste

Obtain 16 slices from the pastry and place a clean shrimp near the widest part. Roll them up well from the base to the tip, and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush them with egg, decorate with seeds and bake at 180 ° C for 12-15 minutes , until they are golden brown. Serve them once they have cooled.

The secret that makes the pizzas present in the trays of pretzels so good is precisely that of being prepared with this recipe. The puff pastry pizzas are easy, fast and very tasty , excellent to customize as you like with olives, mushrooms or anchovies according to your tastes.

Ingredients for 4 people:

  • 1 roll of puff pastry
  • 100 g of tomato puree
  • 80 g of mozzarella
  • Salt to taste
  • pepper as needed
  • extra virgin olive oil to taste
  • oregano to taste

Unroll the pastry and make small squares about 3 cm on each side. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, brush them with a drizzle of oil and then season with the tomato sauce scented with oregano, salt and pepper and the dry mozzarella cut into chunks. Cook at 200 ° C for 15 minutes then serve them once lukewarm.

Depending on the occasion, then, calculate the amount of pretzels you need. For an aperitif with friends and for a birthday party, 6-8 pieces per person are more than enough. Keep in mind that it is always better to have a few more than to be left with a dry mouth.
