Tiramisu Vegan
Vegan tiramisu is a recipe suitable for all those who want to enjoy a spoon dessert in a natural variant and without ingredients of animal origin.
The traditional one is fun to cook, as well as a sacred monster of Italian cuisine, while the vegan tiramisu, on the other hand, raises some doubts among the "purists". This is why we offer you a recipe that will make everyone agree. This dessert is prepared with a cream with rice milk and vegetable cream and without using eggs (or mascarpone).
This dessert is easy to make and will guarantee you a delicious dessert that will amaze all your dinner guests. Ready to taste the sweetness of the cream, the aroma of biscuits soaked in coffee and the intensity of bitter cocoa? So let's see how to make veg tiramisu, a natural but truly delicious variant!
Preparation of the tiramisu recipe without eggs
- Let's start preparing the cream for the vegan tiramisu: pour the rice milk into a pan, add the vanilla sachet and the sugar, then start mixing while everything heats up over a low heat.
- Add the sifted rice starch to thicken and leave on the heat until the mixture begins to boil.
- Once ready, pour it into a bowl and leave it to cool in the refrigerator for at least 15 minutes.
- Once the time necessary for cooling has elapsed, whip the vegetable cream with the whisk.
- Take the custard out of the fridge, which will have become very cold and thick. Before incorporating the cream, make it smooth again by mixing it with an electric whisk for a few minutes. As soon as it is silky, add it to the whipped cream, mixing well but delicately with a spatula.
- At this point, choose whether to make small single-portion tiramisu, or whether to serve the vegan dessert in a pan or in a baking dish. Dip the biscuits in the coffee and place them at the base of the baking dish or cups. Cover the soaked biscuits with the cream and make two or three layers, continuing to gradually add the vegan ladyfingers or dry biscuits. For the base there are those who also prepare a soft vegan sponge cake .
- After adding the last layer of cream, sprinkle with cocoa and, if desired, complete with dark chocolate flakes . Let it rest in the fridge for at least two hours before serving. Enjoy your meal !

Vegan tiramisu: Primo Chef's advice
You can decorate the surface of the cake with coffee beans covered in dark chocolate or chopped dried fruit. You can also think about coloring the veg custard with a little turmeric, to obtain the exact shade of the traditional recipe with eggs and mascarpone.
For a tasty and summery variant, replace the coffee with fruit syrup , flavored with rum.
Or, why not, add a slightly oriental spice such as cardamom to the cream: you will taste what an interesting twist!
