Tripe in air fryer

tripe in air fryer

Creamy and rich in flavor thanks to the vegetables used and the long cooking, air fryer tripe is a delicious second course.

We have to admit, this air fryer thing is getting a little out of hand. Yet it is so practical and versatile that it comes naturally to us to always try new recipes. For example, given the season, we prepared tripe in the air fryer and, together with a nice loaf of bread , it literally saved our dinner.

Of course, the preparation is rather long, as always when it comes to tripe, but the result is mouth-watering. To make it richer, we also added potatoes and carrots but you can proceed as you like, the procedure does not change.

How to prepare tripe recipe in air fryer

  1. First, get a large container of a size suitable for the fryer basket. Some models already come with one for cakes and that works great. Pour in the oil, the finely chopped onion, the well-rinsed tripe and cook at 200°C for 3-5 minutes . If you want, you can also brown everything on the stove to do it first.
  2. Then add the peeled tomatoes mashed with a fork, the potatoes peeled and cut into half centimeter pieces and the carrots, also peeled and cut into slices.
  3. Cook at 190°C for 1 hour and a half, stirring occasionally to prevent it from sticking.
  4. Serve garnished with fresh chopped parsley and season with salt and pepper if necessary.

Tripe is a particular recipe that is difficult for everyone to agree on. However, with this recipe success is guaranteed. Alternatively we recommend you try our Milanese tripe , also known as busecca.

The tripe will keep in the refrigerator for a couple of days . Heat it in the pan for a few minutes before enjoying it, strictly with bread to make the slipper.
