Tuna and lemon pasta

Tuna and lemon pasta is one of the quick and easy recipes you can prepare when you don't know what to cook for dinner.

How many times has tuna pasta saved your dinners? Considered the recipe for salvation par excellence, in the quickest versions it could be really sad and yet it doesn't take much to ennoble its flavour. Take, for example, pasta with tuna and lemon: the addition of just one ingredient transforms its flavour, giving the dish an incredible note of freshness .

Pasta with tuna in white and lemon is a simple dish that has only one step more than the traditional recipe, namely that of sautéing the tuna in a pan with lemon juice and zest . But be careful to choose an organic fruit with an untreated peel. The addition of garlic and chilli and the final addition of parsley will give the dish an incredible fresh flavour.

How to prepare the tuna and lemon pasta recipe

  1. First, cook the pasta in plenty of salted water. Do it right away because the sauce is really ready in a couple of minutes.
  2. Then proceed by washing the lemon, grating the zest with a fine grater and squeezing the juice .
  3. In a large frying pan, heat the oil with the garlic clove and chilli pepper. Add the lemon zest and the juice and after a minute add the well-drained tuna. Cook for another minute, then switch off and set aside.
  4. Once the pasta is ready, drain it and toss it in the pan with the sauce, stirring in half a ladle of cooking water. Flavor with the freshly chopped parsley and serve immediately.

To prepare fresh tuna and lemon pasta, the procedure is similar and thanks to the reduced cooking times you will still have a quick recipe to prepare. In this case, get 300 g of fresh tuna , cut it into half a centimeter cubes and brown it in a pan with garlic, oil and chilli pepper. Only then will you add the lemon, following the main recipe.

The tuna pasta can be kept in the refrigerator for a couple of days . We advise you to heat it in a pan by adding just a drizzle of oil.
