How to prepare the salt chicken recipe

  1. First, get yourself a clean whole chicken . We advise you not to choose it too big (1 kg is perfect) to make sure you get the right cooking. As you know, chicken is one of those meats that absolutely cannot be eaten raw.
  2. With kitchen twine, tie the chicken legs together, in order to close the opening and prevent salt from getting inside. If you want, you can first add rosemary, a clove of garlic or a few slices of lemon.
  3. Pour a layer of salt of about one centimeter into a pan (not too big than the chicken but that contains it for its entire height plus a couple of centimeters), then lay the meat and cover with the remaining salt.
  4. Bake at 200 ° C for 1 hour and 30 minutes , remove from the oven and remove the salt crust before grilling the chicken again for another 10 minutes to make the skin crisp.
  5. Serve it after removing it from the salt.
