Sugar-free fig jam with the Thermomix is an excellent basic recipe useful for filling sweets and tarts in a genuine and delicious way. Perfect to make in the summer when nature offers the freshest and juiciest fruits in abundance! However, jams are often avoided by those who follow a diet or by those with diabetes problems : but today we will show you that everyone can enjoy this sweet product!
Even without the addition of sugar, our jam remains perfect for everyone in its goodness: the natural sweetness of the figs will be enough to make all your recipes delicious. The secret lies in choosing well-ripened figs and you will see that the final result will surprise you! Easily prepare this recipe with the Thermomix.
Preparing the recipe for homemade sugar-free fig jam
- Sterilize some jars in boiling water for 30 minutes , then let them dry upside down on a clean cloth.
- Wash the figs well, peel them and cut them into small pieces .
- Pour them into the mixing bowl together with the water and the lemon zest and juice.
- Let the Thermomix work for 30 minutes at 100° C at speed 2 .
- After this time, proceed with the teaspoon test : take a handful of jam and put it on a saucer. If the mixture is thick enough it will be ready.
- Transfer the hot jam into sterilized jars and screw the cap tightly .
- Turn them upside down and let them cool completely , then turn them over and store or try your homemade jam right away!
If you like, flavor the jam with ground cinnamon or ginger, and with a daring glass of rum! For a spicy note , add some chilli pepper or ground black pepper.
storage
The jam will keep for up to a year if sealed tightly and stored in a cool, dry place. Once opened, keep it in the fridge for up to 3-4 days .
