Preparation of the recipe for boiled artichokes

  1. The first step on how to cook boiled or boiled artichokes is to remove the hardest leaves and stems of the artichokes and immerse them in acidulated water , a solution of water and lemon to prevent them from blackening (this procedure is valid for any method cooking artichokes).
  2. Bring plenty of salted water to the boil in a large saucepan and add the vinegar, lemon juice and finally the artichokes.

  4. When cooked, drain and serve with a condiment based on oil, vinegar, salt, pepper and also some mint or parsley leaves, if you like.


Boiled artichokes can be stored for 2 days after cooking, taking care to place them in the refrigerator in a tightly closed container or with a transparent film. It is advisable to leave them out of the fridge at least 30 minutes before enjoying them.
